Wednesday, October 5th, 1966
With a record of 98-63, the Seattle Pilots have narrowly captured the Western Division.
"We didn't leave much breathing room, did we?" exclaimed an excited Jack Erwin, as he celebrated with his Pilots teammates. "One way or the other, we're just happy to have gotten it done."
The 2nd division title in franchise history didn't come easily, but it's not stopping the Seattle squad from having confidence in their abilities.
"We're feeling good going into playoffs," Erwin said. "We think we can make it happen."
